i remember well the wooden clock on the 4th floor
i remember that i mistook arrogance as "no man in the wood"
rather than "no man in the eye"
i remember P saying autobiographies are less favoured by memoirs
it signifies the self consciousness (self centredness) of the writer
are men necessarily arrogant if they are self conscious?
